7 Wherefore now6258 return,7725 and go1980 in peace,7965 that thou displease621374515869 not3808 the lords5633 of the Philistines.6430
8 And David1732 said559 unto413 Achish,397 But3588 what4100 have I done?6213 and what4100 hast thou found4672 in thy servant5650 so long44803117 as834 I have been1961 with6440 thee unto5704 this2088 day,3117 that3588 I may not3808 go1980 fight3898 against the enemies341 of my lord113 the king?4428
9 And Achish397 answered6030 and said559 to413 David,1732 I know3045 that3588 thou859art good2896 in my sight,5869 as an angel4397 of God:430 notwithstanding389 the princes8269 of the Philistines6430 have said,559 He shall not3808 go up5927 with5973 us to the battle.4421
10 Wherefore now6258 rise up early7925 in the morning1242 with thy master's113 servants5650 that834 are come935 with854 thee: and as soon as ye be up early7925 in the morning,1242 and have light,216 depart.1980
11 So David1732 and his men376 rose up early7925 to depart1980 in the morning,1242 to return7725 into413 the land776 of the Philistines.6430 And the Philistines6430 went up5927 to Jezreel.3157

3 Филистимские командиры спросили: «Что здесь делают эти иудеи?» Анхус ответил им: «Это же Давид, слуга Саула, израильского царя. Он находится у меня уже больше года, и с тех пор, как он оставил Саула и пришёл ко мне, он служит мне верой правдой».
4 Но филистимские командиры разозлились на него и сказали: «Отправь Давида назад! Он должен вернуться в город, который ты ему подарил. Он не может идти с нами на войну. Если он будет здесь, то мы будем иметь врага в собственном лагере. Он угодит Саулу, своему царю, убивая наших людей.
5 Не тот ли это Давид, о котором пели в хороводах: „Саул убил тысячи, а Давид — десятки тысяч!”»
6 Тогда Анхус позвал Давида и сказал ему: «Так же верно, как то, что Господь жив, ты честен, и я бы хотел, чтобы ты служил в моей армии. С тех пор как ты пришёл ко мне, я не замечал за тобой ничего плохого, и филистимские командиры уважают тебя.
7 Поэтому возвратись с миром и не серди филистимлян».
8 Давид спросил: «Что я сделал? Я не сделал ничего плохого с того дня, как пришёл к тебе. Почему ты не позволяешь мне сразиться с врагами моего господина, царя?»
9 Анхус ответил: «Я знаю, что в моих глазах ты хорош, как Ангел Божий. Но филистимские командиры сказали: „Давид не может идти с нами на войну”.
10 Встань утром, ты и люди, которые пришли с тобой, и, когда станет светло, уходите. И не обращай внимания на то, что говорят о тебе командиры».
11 Рано утром Давид встал и со своими людьми возвратился в Филистимскую землю, а филистимляне пошли на битву в Изреель.
